Where It All Began — A Journey Rooted in Curiosity
Fifteen years ago, compelled by a deep reverence for nature and flavor, I set out across the Mediterranean coast of Turkey — not by highway, but by heart. Village by village, grove by grove, I traced the forgotten olive cultivars of Anatolia, seeking to unearth flavors long hidden from the world.
But amid these discoveries, a paradox emerged: the most extraordinary olives were often grown in the most remote places — far from quality mills, their brilliance threatened by delay. It was clear: if I wanted to honor the fruit’s full potential, I had to bring the mill to the grove.
Rewriting Tradition — A Mobile Mill, A Revolutionary Idea
From that need, innovation took shape — a mobile olive oil mill, designed to cold-press olives on-site, moments after harvest. We weren’t just making olive oil; we were preserving time, place, and purity in liquid form.
The result? A series of bold, expressive oils that revealed the essence of rare varietals like Antalya Tavşan Yüreği-Beylik, Mardin Halhali, and Manisa Uslu. These oils didn’t just turn heads — they won hearts and accolades at the world’s most prestigious competitions, from New York to Los Angeles, Tokyo to London.
Inspiration Beyond Borders
Over the years, I was honored to be invited to olive-growing regions around the globe — to share this model, this philosophy, and to witness its ripple effect. What began as a personal pursuit slowly became a source of inspiration for producers looking to bridge tradition with innovation, and nature with technology.
A New Chapter — California Calling
In 2019, I answered a new call — this time from across the ocean. With its Mediterranean climate, deep agricultural roots, and emerging passion for world-class olive oils, California felt both foreign and familiar. I launched Olive Truck with the same spirit that fueled my first journey: to pursue excellence without compromise.
California’s olive oil industry was already thriving, thanks to visionaries and organizations like the California Olive Oil Council (COOC). But I saw an opportunity to push the boundaries even further — to bring tree-to-bottle freshness through our advanced vacuum milling technology, integrated into a state-of-the-art mobile mill.
From Harvest to Honor — The Olive Truck Promise
Our mobile mill follows the harvest, pressing olives within hours of picking — ensuring the preservation of their delicate aromas, flavors, and healthful compounds. The result: oils with remarkably low acidity, soaring polyphenol content, and most importantly, bold and complex flavor profiles that speak for themselves.
Today, Olive Truck extra virgin olive oils are proudly featured in top-tier stores throughout California and beyond — not just as a product, but as a story bottled in gold.
